Job Title: Thoracic Consultant Surgeon

This is a new permanent post to support the expanding thoracic surgical service, a tertiary unit at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
Extensive experience in advanced minimal invasive technique is essential. The thoracic surgeons work in a shared job plan and with the new colleague it will be a 1 in 7 rota for the on calls. You and other consultant colleagues will be expected to cover each other's absences on annual or study leaves. You will be required to participate in medical audit and medical education as well as consultant appraisal for revalidation.
