About the Role
Inc Consulting are working with a Sheffield‑based manufacturing business to recruit a dedicated and detail‑driven Capacity Planner.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain achievable production schedules for finished and semi‑finished products, ensuring delivery of the site MPS and exceptional customer service.
- Utilise MRP, master data, and planning tools to translate demand signals (MPS, MRP, Kanban) into finite schedules for bottleneck and constrained resources.
- Work closely with operational stakeholders to review, agree and optimise production plans, supporting OEE, throughput, and overall efficiency.
- Produce and update work‑to lists, trackers and planning documentation to ensure full visibility of WIP and schedule adherence.
- Manage ERP‑related activities, including raising production jobs, allocating materials, maintaining data integrity and acting on MRP messages.
- Attend daily operational reviews, proactively addressing schedule issues and maintaining strong communication with internal teams and customer representatives.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in production planning or scheduling within a fast‑paced, precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to spot issues early and resolve or escalate appropriately.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across manufacturing, engineering, and wider business teams.
- Competent user of ERP systems, alongside strong Excel and general IT capability.
- High‑energy, enthusiastic team player with a proactive, continuous‑improvement mindset.
- APICS certification (desirable)
