Job Summary:
We are seeking a Weekend Equestrian Groom to join our team at our prestigious equestrian facility. As a Weekend Polo Groom, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of our horses and the general upkeep of the stable area. This is a part-time position, working on weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for horses, including feeding, grooming, and tacking up for Polo Mariches and Polo practices
- Clean and maintain stables and paddocks
- Assist with veterinary and farrier visits
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the stable manager
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the horses at all times
- Perform general maintenance tasks around the stable area
Qualifications:
- Experience working with horses in a professional setting
- Knowledge of equestrian care practices and procedures
- Ability to handle horses safely and confidently
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with other staff members and clients
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness to perform tasks such as heavy lifting and manual labor
- Basic maths skills for measuring feed quantities and administering medications accurately
