Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Administer medication following prescribed guidelines and document accordingly
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Manage behaviour effectively and compassionately, especially in cases of dementia or Alzheimer's care
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness
- Drive clients safely to appointments or outings when required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to supervisors
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organised environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- You will be required to work in and around Falkrik
Qualifications
- Previous experience in providing care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and care giving best practices
- Valid driving licence
- Experience in meal preparation and medication prompting and administration preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage different situations effectively and professionally.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required
