Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food presentation, ensuring visual appeal and quality control
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to improve skills
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and menu offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Assist in menu planning and development to reflect current trends and customer preferences
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Skilled in food production techniques with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills for team coordination and customer interaction
- Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability in serving guests with professionalism and courtesy
