DegreeSix Recruitment are a specialist SEN education agency partnering with schools across Birmingham to connect passionate support staff with rewarding opportunities. We’re currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for a range of flexible roles, including day-to-day supply and full-time long-term positions across both mainstream and specialist settings.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Behaviour, SLD, MLD, PMLD)
- Strong understanding of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
- Relevant training or qualifications (desirable but not essential)
· An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be expected to:
- Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties
· Support students 1:1 or in small classes
· Managing challenging behaviour and emotional regulation
· Be confident, reliable and passionate about supporting SEND needs
