Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, assisting with patient education, and supporting the overall functionality of the clinic. Duties
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD and medical imaging equipment
- Conduct oral health assessments and record patient data accurately
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Maintain sterilisation protocols and ensure all dental instruments are properly disinfected
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided and update patient files accordingly
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Qualifications
- recognised qualification as a Dental Hygienist from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral structures and dental health
- Experience with CAD software utilised in dental imaging applications
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques specific to dentistry
- Strong understanding of infection control procedures and sterilisation standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
- Organised, detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
