Location: South Wales
Salary: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Hours: Seasonal guaranteed hours to reflect the nature of the work:
- 1 April – 30 September: Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- 1 October – 31 March: Guaranteed 25 hours per week.
All hours worked in excess of the guaranteed weekly hours for the applicable season are paid at 1.5 times your standard hourly rate.
About the Role
Complete Weed Control (South & Central Wales) Ltd is looking to recruit six motivated and reliable CDA Operatives to join our growing team.
This is an outdoor role involving the application of herbicides using Controlled Droplet Application (CDA) equipment across a variety of sites. The work is physically demanding and requires operatives to walk long distances throughout the day while maintaining a high standard of work.
The role will occasionally require working away from home. When overnight stays are necessary, all accommodation will be provided by the Company.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out herbicide applications using CDA equipment.
- Work safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
- Complete work to a high standard while meeting productivity targets.
- Travel to sites as required.
- Work away from home when necessary, with accommodation provided.
- Maintain equipment and report any defects.
Essential Requirements
- Physically fit and able to walk long distances continuously.
- Flexible approach to working hours, travel and occasional overnight stays.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- PA1 and PA6 qualifications, or willingness to undertake training.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and good attention to detail.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Training
PA1 and PA6 training can be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Pay & Benefits
Seasonal guaranteed hours:
40 hours per week from 1 April to 30 September.
25 hours per week from 1 October to 31 March.
