Overview
We are seeking a professional Recovery Driver o join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and goods using a flatbed vehicle. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in commercial driving and delivery operations to contribute to a reliable and efficient service. Duties
- Safely operate a flatbed vehicle to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles and goods to designated locations.
- Ensure all loads are secured correctly and adhere to safety regulations throughout transit.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with road regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring proper handling at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with company policies.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety standards during all operations, prioritising safe driving practices at all times.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record suitable for operating a recovery vehicle.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or recovery operations.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure load handling.
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or other route planning tools.
- Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
