Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and reliable Waiter/Waitress to join our team at Kokum. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking and serving food and drink orders, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will play a key role in maintaining the restaurant’s high standards of service and hospitality.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a polite and welcoming manner
- Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations when requested
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff
- Serve meals and drinks promptly and professionally
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Clear tables, reset them for the next guests, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area
- Process customer payments and issue receipts correctly
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver smooth service
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous waiting experience preferred but not essential (training provided)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, good teamwork, and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
