Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef /cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. We are a small team looking to expand our restaurant offerings and are looking for a strong number team member to help move the kitchen team forward with our future visions.
Your working hours will be 35 over 5 days - For the right person this could be changed to 35 hours over 4 days. We are extremely flexible and can work to a set rota for the correct candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
- Support kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service.
- Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality across all dishes.
- Manage food safety procedures, including hygiene standards and compliance with health regulations.
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary ideas.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control to minimise waste.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
