Overview
Aspect Maintenance is looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic / Garage Supervisor ready to step into a management role within 12 months.
This is a hands-on position where you’ll split your time between maintaining our fleet and supporting the day-to-day running of the garage, with a clear pathway into Garage or Fleet Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vans and Class 7 vehicles
- Oversee daily garage operations and workflows
- Manage fleet servicing schedules to maximise uptime
- Ensure all vehicles are compliant, roadworthy, and maintained to high standards
- Conduct safety checks and inspections
- Support SMART repairs and minor bodywork
- Maintain accurate service and fleet records
- Assist with fleet organisation, allocation, and planning
- Identify cost-saving and efficiency improvements
- Support the setup and development of a new operational site
Requirements
- Qualified mechanic
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in vehicle maintenance/engineering
- Experience in a workshop or garage environment
- Supervisory or management experience (preferred)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
- Motivated to progress into a management role
