Job Overview
The Finance Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring cash flow, managing invoicing and credit control, and supporting financial planning across the manufacturing, construction, and retail operations. The role ensures compliance with financial regulations, prepares management reports, and provides financial insights to support business decision-making.
Duties
- Manage the company's financial accounts and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Manage customer invoicing, supplier payments, and credit control.
- Review financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain financial records using accounting and ERP systems.
- Support payroll processing and ensure accurate financial documentation.
- Prepare reports for senior management to support commercial and operational decisions.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, suppliers, and financial institutions when required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax requirements, and internal financial controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience managing financial records and reconciliations.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience using ERP or accounting software.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable
- MBA, Accounting & Finance degree, or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of SAP, Oracle ERP, or similar accounting systems.
- Internal audit or financial compliance experience.
Pay: From £44,850.00 per year
