Position: Operational Project Manager

What you’ll do:
Working in the Operational Support Team, responsibilities will include operational project support and also act as a key conduit for the implementation and early life new operational locations acting as a key point of contact between internal and external stakeholders.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Translate business strategy and objectives into clear, actionable plans that drive successful delivery
- Support the Head of Operational Support with project planning, ensuring readiness for smooth handover to the business
- Lead the implementation of new locations in a controlled and effective manner, providing early-life support to site leadership teams
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, maintaining momentum and focus across competing priorities
- Deliver projects end‑to‑end, from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, time and quality standards
- Attend and contribute to regular review meetings, capturing actions, outcomes and demonstrating value through continuous improvement
- Provide clear, concise project updates at board level
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timescales, budgets and quality parameters
- Proactively assess and manage cost implications of proposed methods, changes and improvements
- Work collaboratively with the planning team to develop and deliver new initiatives and projects
- Produce project mandates, business cases and supporting documentation as required
- Prioritise workload effectively in line with evolving business needs
- Identify and implement innovative ways of working to support operational and strategic goals
- Provide structured support, coaching and guidance to site teams, building capability and confidence in new processes and procedures

What We’re Looking For:
- Parcel industry experience is desirable
- Full driving license required
- Implemented projects from cradle to grave on a national and local level
- Experience in implementing fundamental group changes across an organisation
- Prince2, Six Sigma or SOP certifications are essential
- Operational Development experience
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to influence
