Alcas Metal UK is a UK-based supplier of aluminium extrusion and finishing solutions, supported by overseas headquarters and manufacturing facilities. We provide a complete service including aluminium extrusions, fabrication, powder coating, sublimating, anodising, machining and assembly solutions to customers across a wide range of industries.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to develop new business opportunities throughout the UK and Ireland.
The Role
This is a new business focused position. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging and converting new customers while building long-term commercial relationships.
You will manage the sales process from initial prospecting through to securing orders and supporting ongoing account development.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing new opportunities, building customer relationships and creating sustainable sales growth within the aluminium extrusion industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout the UK and Ireland.
- Prospect and engage potential customers through telephone, email, LinkedIn, industry events and site visits.
- Build relationships with manufacturers, fabricators, OEMs, distributors, construction companies and other aluminium users.
- Qualify customer requirements and gather technical and commercial information.
- Liaise with internal teams to obtain pricing, technical guidance and project feasibility information.
- Prepare and submit quotations using company quotation templates.
- Follow up quotations and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Conduct customer visits and presentations as required.
- Maintain an organised sales pipeline using company sales tools and prospect management systems.
- Aim to deliver agreed sales, margin and tonnage targets.
- Provide market intelligence and identify new growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience selling aluminium extrusion solutions.
- Strong understanding of aluminium extrusions and related services.
- Proven track record of generating and winning new business.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK.
