About the Role

As the SPS Manufacturing Team Leader you will be responsible for the full quality remit for the Small Panels department. You will direct the activities of the team members, focusing on quality of output whilst achieving the desired production targets. Whilst reporting directly to the SPS Production Manager, you will interface with other production teams, stores, quality, product development and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Own and oversee audit activity for SPS output, ensuring consistent quality standards and compliance.
Lead root cause analysis (8D and 5 Whys) for non-conforming panels and implement effective containment and corrective actions.
Design and carry out daily process and quality audits, including Right First Time performance monitoring.
Develop and maintain SPS quality reporting and KPIs in collaboration with management, ensuring accurate data reporting and communication to stakeholders.
Support and guide SPS trainers and team leaders, using audit findings to target training, implement improvements, and reinforce effective quality controls.

Your Qualifications & Experience

Be able to read drawings and identify potential errors in machine and manual processes
Experienced people manager within a manufacturing environment
Demonstrable experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
Excellent communication skills
Quality driven and customer focused
Ability to record, analyse and disseminate data
Knowledge or use of ERP Systems
Competent In the use of Microsoft Office suite

Our Small Panel Shop is a key part of the manufacturing process, producing high-quality furniture components for our caravans, motorhomes, and campervans.

Working with precision and craftsmanship, the team transforms raw materials into finished panels and fittings that bring comfort and style to every vehicle. With a focus on detail, efficiency, and teamwork, the department ensures each piece meets our exacting standards before moving further down the production line.
