Starting Salary: £12.37 - £14.43 per hour (+ shift allowance)
Hours: 37 hours per week (3 weekly shift rotation: day shift, back shift and night shift)

Summary
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Production Operative (Press Brake) to work within a highly skilled, dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry. The Press Brake Operative will use CNC programmes and press tooling to bend steel to specific angles and customer specifications.

Job Role
-
Following part set-up sheets and customer work schedules
-
Operating machines to bend steel to specific angles using press tooling for heavy-duty parts
-
Using hand tools such as pin grinders and angle grinders
-
Completing daily operation, TPM (total preventative/production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets

Completing tasks using engineering drawings
-
Inspecting quality of parts to maintain high standards and completing first-off checks

Inspecting all equipment to ensure it is in a safe working condition

Carrying out adjustments using CNC programmes

Supporting with other ad hoc duties as requested by your line manager (within the scope of your skills and capabilities)
Qualifications and Experience

Previous experience using 300–400 tonne press machines is desirable but not essential

Experience using bend templates and understanding bend radii is desirable but not essential

Experience within the manufacturing sector is beneficial but not essential

Experience using engineering drawings is beneficial but not essential

Full training will be provided upon commencement, with ongoing development opportunities
