Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Early Years Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young children, including those with special educational needs or disabilities. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Support children with special educational needs or disabilities through tailored activities and personalised care
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Observe and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop programmes that meet individual children's needs
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure consistent support
- Provide one-on-one tutoring or additional support for children requiring extra assistance in their learning journey
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or equivalent (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childhood Practice)
- Experience working with young children, including toddlers and those with special educational needs or disabilities
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and behaviour management strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Passion for working with children and supporting their developmental milestones
- Previous experience in tutoring or working specifically with children with additional needs is desirable

Experience/Knowledge
At least two years experience, including training, of working with children under five years olds. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Experience in working in a non-discriminatory manner. Experience of the Key Person system
Experience of planning age appropriate activities, experience and interaction

Good time keeping
Good understanding of team work
