Clique Private Staffing is delighted to present a wonderful opportunity for an experienced live-in Housekeeper to join a private family residing in a beautiful country home in the Midlands.
This is a long-term position for a proactive and highly organised individual who enjoys taking ownership of their work and takes genuine pride in maintaining a beautifully run household. The household is looking for someone who naturally notices what needs doing, takes initiative and approaches challenges with solutions rather than problems. Someone who can quietly keep things moving, whether that be managing the laundry, preparing the home for guests, liaising with contractors or ensuring the property remains immaculate at all times.
The property itself is a substantial seven-bedroom country residence set within beautiful grounds, including a swimming pool, tennis court, stables, paddocks and surrounding farmland. The principals travel extensively throughout the year, spending up to five months away from the property, therefore the successful candidate must be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the home during periods when the family are not in residence.
Whilst there is a Farm Manager on site, day-to-day interaction may be limited due to the nature of his role.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Laundry
- Full housekeeping of the main residence
- Daily cleaning and presentation of all living areas
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
- Bed linen changes and seasonal deep cleaning
- Maintaining exceptionally high standards throughout the property
- Managing household supplies and inventories
Household Management
- Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the home
- Identifying maintenance issues and coordinating solutions where appropriate
- Liaising with contractors and service providers when required
- Ensuring the property remains guest-ready at all times
- Supporting the principals during periods of residence
Hospitality Support
- Basic food preparation when required
- Assisting with entertaining and family gatherings
- Clearing, tidying and resetting following meals and events
- Supporting approximately six annual shoot days, which will occasionally require weekend work
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within private households
- Strong housekeeping and laundry skills
- Excellent ironing and garment care abilities
- Confident working independently
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Driver essential
- Comfortable living and working in a rural environment

Pay: £40,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
