Sanctuary Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Substance Misuse Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join a specialist drug and alcohol recovery service in London. This is a full-time block booking for an ASAP start, offering a great opportunity to work within a well-established community service.
This Substance Misuse Prescriber role offers a competitive £57 per hour pay rate and the chance to support individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency through structured, recovery-focused treatment programmes.
Contract Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 3 months
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 09:00 – 17:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective prescribing within a substance misuse service, including opioid substitution therapy (OST).
- Carry out comprehensive clinical assessments for service users.
- Develop and review tailored treatment and recovery plans.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including recovery workers, nurses, and GPs.
- Monitor and review prescribing practices in line with clinical governance and safety standards.
- Support detoxification, relapse prevention, and long-term recovery outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records.
Requirements:
- Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) with Independent Prescribing qualification.
- Current registration with NMC or GPhC.
- Previous experience within community substance misuse services is essential.
- Strong knowledge of OST, detox protocols, and harm reduction strategies.
- Excellent clinical assessment and prescribing skills.
