Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Previous supervising experience is highly desirable.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members, including servers, kitchen personnel, and bartenders
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety regulations and standards
- Manage daily service operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality customer experiences
- Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to foster a positive working environment
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary
- Ensure all staff follow safety protocols and operational procedures consistently
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, or hospitality setting
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent team management skills
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience in food production and kitchen operations
- Familiarity with hospitality service standards including serving and barista skills is advantageous
- Ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Capable of motivating team members to achieve high standards of service and performance
