Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, in accordance with company standards.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders accurately and processing payments using the till system.
- Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth service.
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times, including proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in setting up the café for opening hours and closing down at the end of shifts.
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer-facing role is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred.
- Experience in serving customers and food preparation is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
