Summary
The Governing Body of St Leonards C of E Primary school are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, motivated and experienced teaching assistant to join our inspirational and dedicated team of staff. This role is an exciting role covering all duties as outlined in the TA 2a job description at St. Leonards CE Primary School. This role will be covering a variety of support from 1:1, small group and whole class.
The successful candidate will be required to be:
- An exemplary teaching assistant with a proven track record of work in a primary school setting
- Have a high standard of Maths and English
- Motivating, patient, caring and considerate throughout their classroom practise
- Have excellent communication skills
- Able to work well as a member of a team and have adaptability and flexibility in working practices;
- Able to nurture, motivate and develop every child through high expectations of learning, achievement, progress and behaviour;
- Experience of leading teaching and learning throughout different year groups throughout a primary school.
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Experience of covering classes e.g. cover supervisor or HLTA
- Willing to engage in the wider aspects of school life

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis.
Essential Qualifications
- Grade A* - C at GCSE or O Levels/CSE in English & Maths (equivalent to A* - C GCSE)
NVQ Level 3 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
