Warehouse operative / Delivery Driver
We are looking for a new member of staff to join our team at The Roofing Centre Ltd, Experience in this role isn't essential as we are happy to train the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, passionate to progress within the business and is great self starter.
Job Specification:
- Driving 3.5 ton flat bed vehicle
- Hours of work - 7am - 5pm Monday to Friday
- This is a customer facing role supporting the warehouse manager
- Ensuring all in-store operations of the warehouse run effectively and maintaining a high level of delivery standards,
- Acting as first point of contact in the warehouse and on deliveries
- Packing and dispatching orders to customers
- Checking and unpacking deliveries
- Assisting with stock checks and replenishment
- Quality Assurance of products before they are dispatched
- Maintaining shop floor & appearance of front desk
- Ideally experienced in the Roofing / Building industry (but not essential as full product / system training provided)
- Ability to use own initiative and to plan and prioritise own work load
Abilities desired:
- Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
- Fork lift license (desired but not essential)
Abilities required:
- Physically able (Lifting warehouse stock)
- Full UK driving license
- Good communication skills and ability to build & maintain good working client relations
- Good Team player
- A good work ethic
- Must be reliable, trustworthy and flexible
