Job Title: E-Commerce Marketing Manager (agency)
Location: Our ideal candidate would be based in the South West (Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Bristol, South Wales) in order to have occasional client and team get-togethers.
We're looking for a true marketeer who lives and breathes brand, audience, and commercial performance, but who also has the digital sharpness to thrive in an e-commerce agency environment.
This role has two core focuses:
- Accelerate e-commerce revenue for our clients
- Position Pixie Commerce as the go-to digital partner for Adobe Commerce/Magento and Shopify businesses across the UK
You'll bring creativity and strategic thinking in equal measure, with the ability to translate marketing instincts into measurable results. You'll be comfortable owning campaigns end-to-end, comfortable in front of clients, and passionate about e-commerce.
What You'll Be Doing
Strategy & Leadership
- Own and manage the marketing budget, ensuring spend is accountable and ROI-driven
- Lead, mentor and develop a small team.
- Contribute to Pixie Commerce's own brand positioning and new business marketing efforts.
- Act as the primary day-to-day client contact for marketing activities, supporting regular status meetings, and ensuring clear, proactive communication across all accounts.
Paid Media
- Plan and manage PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and paid social (Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest).
- Optimise campaigns continuously with a focus on e-commerce metrics including ROAS, CPA, revenue.
Social Media
- Develop and oversee social strategies across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube and X.
- Own organic social content creation across key platforms, including copywriting, briefing creative assets, and the production of content where required.
SEO & Content
- Lead on-site and off-site SEO across client accounts, with a genuine understanding of technical, on-page and link-building best practices.
- Produce and oversee high-quality content including blogs, landing pages, product copy, that ranks and converts.
Email Marketing
- Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, with a focus on segmentation, automation and lifecycle marketing.
- Grow and maintain newsletter databases with a focus on quality as well as quantity.
Analytics & Reporting
- Own performance reporting across GA4, Search Console and platform analytics, tracking KPIs, demonstrating ROI and driving continuous improvement.
- Report confidently to Director level and directly to clients on a regular basis.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- A genuine marketeer, someone with strong instincts for brand, messaging and audience, not just a channel technician.
- Proven digital marketing experience within an e-commerce team / agency environment.
- Strong track record managing paid media campaigns (Google Ads, Meta) with demonstrable results.
- Solid SEO knowledge across technical, content and off-page.
- Exceptional planning, and execution skills. Manage multiple client campaigns simultaneously, hit deadlines without compromise and keeping internal teams and clients aligned throughout.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to tie marketing activity to revenue outcomes.
- High level proficiency in GA4 and GTM. Including event tracking, custom dimensions, attribution modelling and conversion reporting.
- Hands-on experience with Magento 2 and/or Shopify, either agency-side or in-house.
Highly Desirable
- Familiarity with e-commerce KPIs: conversion rate, AOV, LTV, cart abandonment, etc.
- Email marketing platform experience. Including flow building, hands-on content and copy creation, A/B testing, and reporting - Klaviyo strongly preferred.
- Awareness of AI-powered marketing tools and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) , understanding how content can be structured to appear in AI-generated answers.
- Familiarity with affiliate marketing programs and partner management.
- Basic Photoshop or design skills for campaign asset creation.
- Experience in creating video and rich media content for social or e-commerce channel - short-form, product, or campaign assets.
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
