We are a fast-growing home insulation company based in central Wolverhampton and are looking for a person who is experienced in Accounting and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable.
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies (e.g., pricing, quantities, or duplicates)
- Preparing and running payment batches on schedule
- Assist in employee & subcontractor expense claims.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding account queries.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Provide general administrative support to the Accounts Team.
- Providing reports
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of UK accounting principles and regulations.
Desirable Attributes:
- AAT qualification or studying towards a relevant finance qualification.
- Experience working in a small business environment.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work setting.
