Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organisation within various settings, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for clients and guests. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and previous experience in janitorial or hotel cleaning. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the cleaning and hospitality sectors.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas efficiently.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Assist with laundry duties including folding and organising linens.
- Ensure all areas are tidy and organised at all times.
- Support with specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet or upholstery cleaning when required.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to any guest or client requests related to cleanliness or amenities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial work, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment is advantageous.
- Basic cooking skills are a plus but not essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Organised with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Reliable with a positive attitude towards work responsibilities.
- Previous experience in hospitality or similar environments is desirable but not mandatory. This role offers an excellent chance to contribute to maintaining clean, comfortable spaces while developing valuable skills within the cleaning industry.
Pay: £12.40-£13.00 per hour
