Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations within our vibrant culinary environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing food production, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency in all dishes served.
- Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and supervising team members to maintain high standards of performance.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen area.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary techniques and customer preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Implement health and safety procedures to create a safe working environment for all staff members.
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong management skills with previous supervising or leadership experience in a kitchen environment.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in culinary operations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff to achieve their best.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers.
- Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Barista experience is considered an advantage but not essential. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional eager to lead a culinary team while delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
