We are recruiting a Sous Chef for a beautiful country house hotel in Devon, home to an acclaimed 2AA Rosette restaurant and set within one of the county's most stunning rural locations.

As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to maintain the high standards that have earned the restaurant its excellent reputation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to take the next step within a quality-driven kitchen.
You will be passionate about seasonal produce, have strong leadership skills, and thrive in a professional environment where consistency and attention to detail are paramount.
As Sous Chef you will:
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of the kitchen
- Lead and motivate the brigade during service
- Maintain the high standards expected within a 2AA Rosette environment
- Assist with menu development using the finest seasonal ingredients
- Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs
- Ensure excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained
- Manage stock control, ordering, and minimisation of wastage
- Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
The ideal candidate will have a strong fresh food background and experience within a quality hotel, restaurant, or gastro pub environment where high standards of cooking and presentation are essential.
