Commissioning Home Manager - Bowburn, County Durham
Exciting opportunity to lead the launch of Bowburn Care Home with St Mary's Care Group! We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Commissioning Home Manager to take ownership of this brand-new 73-bed residential and dementia care home, opening later this year.
As the Commissioning Home Manager, you will be instrumental in the successful opening and growth of Bowburn Care Home. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the full commissioning and opening of the home
- Recruiting, developing, and inspiring a high-performing care and management team
- Driving occupancy growth and building strong relationships with local stakeholders
- Ensuring operational readiness and compliance ahead of opening
- Delivering exceptional standards of care and resident experience
- Managing budgets and resources effectively
- Creating a positive culture focused on quality and continuous improvement
- Preparing the service for successful CQC registration and inspection
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience as a Registered Home Manager in elderly care
- Proven commissioning experience in a new-build or newly opened care home
- A strong track record of increasing occupancy and building successful services
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of CQC regulations
- A passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care
