Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roof Tiler & Slater to join our construction team. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately execute roofing and slating tasks
- Install roofing materials such as tiles, slates, and other coverings in accordance with project requirements
- utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively during installation and repair work
- Perform welding, fabrication, and carpentry tasks as needed to support roofing structures
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow
- Assist with masonry, plumbing, or other related construction activities when required
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects whilst maintaining high standards of quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing, slating, or related construction trades such as masonry or carpentry
- Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights on scaffolding or roofs
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
- Physical fitness to undertake demanding tasks over extended periods
- Relevant construction experience is essential; additional skills in plumbing or masonry are advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
