About the Role
As Head Dental Nurse, you will play a key leadership role within the practice, working closely with the Practice Manager and clinicians to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and supporting the dental nursing team.
- Setting and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient care.
- Ensuring compliance with CQC, HTM, GDC and cross-infection control standards.
- Managing clinical rotas and ensuring appropriate nursing cover.
- Overseeing stock control, ordering and equipment maintenance.
- Supporting induction and ongoing development of team members.
- Carrying out clinical audits and maintaining accurate records.
- Assisting clinicians chairside across implant, sedation and advanced restorative treatments.
- Ensuring an exceptional patient experience at every stage of the journey.
- Promoting a culture of precision, teamwork and continuous improvement.
About You
You are a highly skilled dental nurse who takes pride in delivering exceptional clinical support in advanced dentistry.
Requirements:
- GDC registered as a Dental Nurse.
- An experienced dental nurse with proven leadership or supervisory experience.
- Confident working in a high-end private clinical environment.
- Passionate about clinical excellence and uncompromising standards of care.
- Highly organised, proactive and calm under pressure.
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Committed to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Supportive, reliable, and able to lead by example within a team.
- Experience assisting with implant dentistry and advanced restorative procedures - and ideally sedation cases.
Additional qualifications such as Radiography or Oral Health Education would be advantageous.
