Level 3 Early Years Practitioner - Baby Room – Join Our Passionate Team at Osbaldwick Montessori
Do you genuinely love spending time with babies and young children?
We are looking for a caring, calm and enthusiastic Level 3 practitioner to join our small, 6 place baby room team in our nurturing Montessori nursery
You do not need to be a Montessori expert already. In fact, many people are surprised to discover that Montessori is not strict or “scary” at all — it’s simply about respecting children, following their interests, creating calm environments, and building strong relationships.
If you are someone who:
- Loves talking, singing, cuddling and playing with babies
- Enjoys creating warm relationships with children and families
- Notices the little moments that matter
- Believes children deserve kindness, patience and respect
- Wants to work in a calmer, more thoughtful nursery environment
…then we would love to hear from you.
What the role involves
- Caring for babies aged between 4 and 18 months
- Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and development
- Creating engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Working closely with parents and colleagues
- Helping maintain a beautiful, calm and caring environment
- Observing children and supporting their individual interests and development
What we’re looking for
- Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
- A warm, positive and reliable personality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Someone who enjoys being present with children rather than simply supervising them
- Montessori experience is welcome but not essential — training and support will be provided
What we offer
- Supportive and friendly team, a place where staff are valued and recognised as individuals
- Montessori training and mentoring
- Opportunities for progression
- A calm, child-centred environment
- Competitive salary
We believe great early years practitioners are not defined by knowing complicated theories — they are people who truly enjoy being with children and want to help them feel safe, capable and loved.
If you’re ready to make a real difference in a setting that values children’s natural development and your professional growth – we’d love to hear from you.
