Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Sales Assistant to join our Cash & Carry team. No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will assist customers, replenish stock, operate tills, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the store. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in retail and customer service.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional assistance.
- Help customers locate products and answer basic enquiries.
- Maintain a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Escalate customer concerns to management when required.
Sales & Store Operations
- Replenish shelves and ensure products are displayed neatly.
- Assist with merchandising and promotional displays.
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and organised.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of low stock.
Cash Handling & Transactions
- Operate the till and process customer purchases accurately.
- Handle cash and card payments in accordance with company procedures.
- Issue receipts and assist with returns and exchanges where applicable.
Stock & Warehouse Support
- Receive, unpack, and store deliveries.
- Assist with stock checks and inventory counts.
- Help prepare customer orders when required.
- Move and organise stock safely within the store and warehouse areas.
Health & Safety
- Follow company health and safety policies at all times.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Report hazards, accidents, or damaged equipment promptly.
