Job Overview
This is a permanent position for an experienced Pub DJ to provide Karaoke on a Friday night in our busy venue on a self employed basis.
No karaoke experience necessary as we will provide training.
The venue already has a huge selection of karaoke and music tracks on Virtual DJ and the equipment is already in place so no need to bring anything, just a hard drive and yourself!
Duties
Curate and mix songs that suit the mood and theme of the evening, ensuring seamless transitions between tracks
- Engage with the crowd to foster a lively and friendly environment, responding to their musical preferences when appropriate
- Operate DJ equipment professionally, including mixers, laptop, microphones and sound systems
- Keep up-to-date with current music trends and new releases to keep playlists fresh and appealing
- Adhere to licensing regulations and venue policies regarding music playback
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DJ in a pub or similar entertainment setting
- Excellent knowledge of various music genres and current chart hits
- Proficiency in operating DJ equipment and sound systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to read the crowd and adapt accordingly
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude with a keen eye for detail
- Good sense of humour!
