Hours: 40 hours per week
Shifts:
Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm
Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm–12:00am
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
Bonus: 6% bonus eligible after probation
About the Role
We are looking for a CNC Turner Setter / Operator to join a busy machining team. This role would suit someone with solid CNC turning experience who is confident working with Fanuc controls, changing offsets and editing programmes.
The successful candidate does not need to be a full CNC programmer, but must be more than a basic machine operator. You should be confident setting and operating CNC turning machines, making adjustments and keeping production running efficiently.
This role is particularly suited to someone from a medium to high-volume machining background.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC turning machines.
- Work with Fanuc controls.
- Change offsets and make machine adjustments.
- Edit programmes where required.
- Load, run and check components.
- Work from engineering drawings and job instructions.
- Monitor component quality during production.
- Carry out basic inspection checks.
- Maintain production output and machine efficiency.
- Identify and report any machining or quality issues.
- Keep the working area clean, safe and organised.
Requirements
- CNC turning experience.
- Fanuc experience essential.
- Confident changing offsets.
- Able to edit programmes.
- CNC setting and operating experience.
- Medium to high-volume machining background preferred.
- Able to read basic engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable and comfortable working shifts.
- Suitable for someone who is more experienced than a basic operator but not necessarily a full programmer.
