Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cabinet Maker and/or joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and cabinetry, with the ability to fabricate high-quality cabinets and furniture pieces for pubs, bars and restaurants. This role requires proficiency with various power and hand tools, as well as the capability to perform heavy lifting and work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate cabinets, bars, waiter stations, furniture and more bespoke items according to specifications and design plans.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively, ensuring precision in all cuts and measurements.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, moving materials and completed products within the workshop.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of cabinetry into larger projects.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet company standards for craftsmanship and durability.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in fabricating cabinetry using both power tools and hand tools.
- Strong understanding of carpentry principles, including plumb and level techniques.
- Knowledge of basic electrical systems can be beneficial for integrated cabinetry projects.
- Ability to perform painting tasks as part of the finishing process for cabinets.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during fabrication or installation.
