Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee our financial operations and lead our accounting team for a 2 year Fixed Term Contract role paying up to £48k salary. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial accounting processes, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, and supporting the organisation’s financial management strategies. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger management.
- Oversee the utilisation of accounting software such as Sage and Xero to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor and review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance with organisational policies and relevant regulations.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering professional development within the team.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.
- Implement improvements to existing financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures in accordance with organisational deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial accounting within a recognised organisation or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices.
- Experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a team effectively.
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and internal controls.

Pay: £45,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
