Purpose of Role
To manage the day-to-day general administration of Bentley Golf Club Ltd (the Club).
Reporting Structure
The Managing Secretary shall report to the Board of Directors.
The Managing Secretary shall form part of the senior management team alongside the head Pro, Head green keeper and front of house manager.
Primary Duties
. Working on average 40 hours per week – some of which will be unsociable hours such as weekends or evenings if required.
- Responsible for the timely completion of the Club’s general administration
Responsible for the Clubs Accounting, Budgeting, Financial Reporting and Payroll
- Manage the club’s website and ensure it is used effectively
- Manage the club’s diary of events and its communication
- Ensure the maintenance and optimisation of the club’s computers and IT infrastructure
- Promote the club to all, through behaviour and actions
- Provide a prime point of contact for general repairs and maintenance of the club
- Generate updates for the Board and main Committees on the Club’s activities
- Take the minutes of committee meetings and other meetings as agreed
- Participate in the club’s committees in a proactive manner
- Determine opportunities for positive marketing of the Club using modern management methods and technology
- Liaise effectively with the general membership and committees to deliver a welcoming Club culture
- To liaise with external bodies to keep up to date with best practice and legislation and ensure it is implemented.
Primary Attributes
- Strong communication skills
- IT literate and experience of utilising technology
Knowledge of Sage accounting software
- Flexibility in both working hours and approach
- Commercial awareness
- Knowledge of golf club management
- Passion for golf and its traditions
- Ability to promote Bentley as a leading golf club in Essex and the South East.
Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
