An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, inspirational and committed qualified nursery officer to join our well established nursery team.
The candidate must hold a level 2 or 3 qualification or above, the right candidate is to have a hands on approach and a passion for caring and nurturing the development of all children. We are searching for someone with a strong character who isn't afraid to use their initiative.
You will be a key person, responsible for the care, welfare and education of the children in your group. To do this you will need a comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS and be able to demonstrate good teaching practice. The position requires the candidate to form good working relationships with parents, positive and approachable attitude in order to support our friendly, hardworking and welcoming team.
First aid and food hygiene is desirable, but training can be organised.

Purpose of post

Responsible to Management
Duties and responsibilities
· Delivery a range of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your room.
· To keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys.
· Support all staff and engage in a good staff team and share new ideas within the nursery.
· Liaise with and support parents and other family members during our workshop and charity day events.
· To be involved in out of working hours activities, e.g. training, staff meetings, parent evening, fundraising events etc.
· To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment within the room and the setting of rooms etc.
· Undertake risk assessments of the children's learning environments both indoor & outdoor
· Read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures.
· To respect the confidentiality of all information received.
· To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing and working in conjunction with our model eating.
· Washing and changing children as required.
· To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
· To uphold the standards of the nursery at all times, both within work hours and outside.
· To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children regardless of any disabilities, family backgrounds or medical history.
· First Aid (Preferred)

· Hold a Level 2 or 3 qualification in early years childcare & education or above
Hours of Work
· 40hrs per Week, shift within the opening times 7.30-6.30
