About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter/Multi Trader to join our team working across social housing properties. This is a hands-on role involving a variety of day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks in occupied and void properties. You'll play a key role in ensuring homes are safe, functional, and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of repairs and maintenance work, including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting & decorating, and basic plastering
- Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently on first visit where possible
- Complete works in both tenanted and void properties
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service when dealing with residents
- Accurately record job details using handheld devices or paperwork
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Multi Trader or in a similar maintenance role
- Strong skills across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, decorating essential)
- Trade NVQ Level 2 is essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Experience working in social housing
