Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations and safety protocols.
- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and maintain stock levels to support smooth kitchen operations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and promote teamwork.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to coordinate service times and optimise guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and management.
