About the Role
As a SEND Teacher in Wallington, you will deliver meaningful, accessible learning that helps pupils grow in confidence, independence, and academic ability.
Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and teaching engaging lessons adapted to individual pupil needs

Supporting children with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and communication difficulties

Using EHCPs and individual learning targets to guide teaching and measure progress

Creating a safe, calm, and structured classroom environment

Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, families, and other professionals

What We're Looking For
The successful SEND Teacher will have:

Qualified Teacher Status, QTS

Experience teaching children with special educational needs

Primary or secondary teaching experience

A child and adult DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

Strong understanding of inclusive teaching and differentiated learning

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

A calm, resilient, and flexible approach

Confidence supporting pupils with complex needs or barriers to learning
