Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate CDP Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations, contributing to the delivery of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Support the head chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including mise en place and food assembly
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, storage areas, and kitchen equipment
- Contribute to menu development by providing ideas based on current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Serve food efficiently during service periods, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience in meal preparation and kitchen organisation is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Previous restaurant experience or serving background is advantageous but not essential
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred but not mandatory
