Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our small team, providing a nurturing and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will be passionate about child development, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to creating a safe and stimulating space for young learners. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and play sessions
- Support behavioural management strategies to foster positive social interactions
- Maintain a clean and organised environment to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members regarding progress and concerns
- Support children's individual needs, including those requiring special attention or care
- Assist with organising educational outings or activities outside the setting when required
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare, nannying, teaching, or similar roles is desirable
- Driving licence is preferred to facilitate outings or transportation needs
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French is a bonus
- Passion for working with children and fostering their growth and development
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain patient, caring, and attentive in a dynamic environment
