Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pie Production team member. This role involves preparing, assembling and baking a variety of delicious pies in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, ensuring our products meet customer expectations. Previous experience in food production or culinary settings is advantageous, but training will be provided for the right applicant. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a professional kitchen setting.
Other duties may include the preparation and packaging of other meat products and assisting the team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for pie making, including chopping, and measuring
- Assist with mixing and assembling pie fillings and pastry bases
- Operate baking equipment to ensure pies are cooked to perfection
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production area in accordance with food safety standards
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistent quality
- Package finished products and maintain stock rotation
- Follow all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
- Support team members during busy periods to meet production targets
Requirements
- Prior experience in food production, baking, or kitchen work is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic cooking skills and familiarity with culinary techniques
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to company policies
- Previous restaurant or bakery experience is a plus but not mandatory
