The Role
We are looking for a qualified MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional yet relaxed environment, carrying out MOT testing, servicing, repairs, and vehicle diagnostics across a wide range of makes and models.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Class 4 MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.
- Perform vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Carry out brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, clutch and timing belt repairs.
- Complete vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required.
- Maintain accurate workshop and MOT documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Work efficiently as part of a small, supportive team.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop.
Essential Requirements
- Current DVSA MOT Tester licence (Class 4).
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
- Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
Desirable
- Experience working in an independent garage.
- Diagnostic equipment experience.
- Air conditioning certification.
- Hybrid and electric vehicle qualifications (training can be provided).
