Overview
We are seeking a professional 7.5 Tonne Multi-drop driver . The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to all safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5-tonne in compliance with all road safety and traffic laws
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet schedules and optimise efficiency
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections prior to each shift, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures upon completion of deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays
- Adhere strictly to health and safety procedures at all times during operations
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, ideally with delivery driver experience.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving licence valid for 7.5 tonne vehicles
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods safely
- Organised with excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules
- Good communication skills, capable of liaising professionally with clients and team members
