Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at The Fighting Cocks. As a Chef you will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious meals according to our recipes and guidelines. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices and seasonings
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets food safety standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or relevant role in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary terminology
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper handling of kitchen equipment
- Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume setting
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team
