Location: Newton Abbot (projects within approx. 45-minute radius)
Unicorn Construction is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Site Carpenter & Working Foreman to join our growing team. We deliver high-quality residential and commercial projects across Devon, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can lead from the front on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of site carpentry to a high standard, including:
- 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
- Kitchen fitting
- Installation of staircases (bespoke and standard)
- Formwork and shuttering
- Cut roofs and trussed roof structures
- External carpentry including decking and fencing
- Work independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of your work
- Oversee, support and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices
- Act as a key point of contact for client liaison where required
- Ensure materials are ordered, stored and protected efficiently to minimise waste and maintain programme
- Collaborate effectively with other trades to ensure smooth project delivery
- Complete works within agreed timescales to meet programme and budget requirements
- Set out works accurately from drawings and specifications
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
